Well, I guess it is about that time to say goodbye to 2018! As 2018 comes to a close I can full-heartedly say I am sad to see it come to an end. December has come upon us all too soon and I am leaving 2018 kicking and screaming, just like the first time I jumped out of an aircraft. When you get to the edge you think about the good that happened, reminiscing on all your adventures and successes but, what pushes you to jump, is the thought of how thrilling things will be after you get over the edge! This experience, I have come to realize, is an accurate way to describe my 2018 with iCombat. We started the year with our state of the art software updates and hardware releases. Then as the year progressed we welcomed new faces into our iCombat family but we also said some sad goodbyes to members of our team. iCombat also got the opportunity this year to check off a few more countries and expand our global reach even further. We even set sail, making our laser tag experience available on the ocean on our second transoceanic liner aboard the Norwegian Joy, who now joins her sister the Bliss.
2018 saw us traipse our way around Europe meeting new friends, making memories, and selling iCombat around the world. We also developed and executed a new booth design for the IAAPA show in Florida (this did not come without its fair share of flip flops!) meanwhile the rest of our team was at home using their well-oiled snow blowers! Just like every year at iCombat it was and always will be a ride that requires a seat belt, control, patience, and some tactical thinking along the road to help us all through those crazy moments!
2019 is going to be an even more intense ride, with new guns to add to the Gen 3 Tactical line, software improvements, new games, franchise launches, travel, territory expansion, and who knows what else…(I can hardly contain my excitement for all of you to see what we have planned!)…I am looking forward to 2019 knowing that I work for an amazing company composed of talented gals and guys who appreciate what we do, a company that has never rested on its laurels and has continued to innovate in spite of being one of the newcomers to the game, and a company that cares about what it is doing and who it is doing it for. I hope you guys are excited and ready for 2019 because I am.
